Admission Requirements
Students applying for admission to the graduate programs must meet the following:-
Bachelor’s degree
Students must hold, or currently be completing, a 4-year bachelor’s degree, or the U.S. equivalent granted by an accredited college or university. Original transcripts must be submitted to RIT for evaluation with certified English translation of transcripts required. -
Academic performance
Students must satisfy standard RIT requirements for academic performance, approximately a 2.8 on a 4.0 scale in undergraduate studies. -
Undergraduate pre-requisites
Students must meet all appropriate undergraduate pre-requisites:-
Applicants to the Telecommunications Engineering Technology MS program should have an engineering technology, engineering or related bachelor’s degree. Students without engineering technology or engineering degrees must also submit an essay which should address how the applicant has obtained the competencies required for the engineering technology or engineering baccalaureate degrees.

For the Networking and Systems Administration MS program , applicants should have a solid educational or employment record in networking, security and systems administration. If a student does not have the necessary background, bridge courses are provided to allow students to meet these pre-requisites.

Candidates for the Manufacturing Management MS program must possess prerequisite knowledge and skills at the introductory course level in the following areas: probability and statistics, engineering economy or basic finance, basic properties of materials, and manufacturing processes. Areas that need strengthening can be addressed by guided reading, formal course work, independent study, seminars, or other suitable means.

Applicants to the Service Management MS program should have at least 5 years of experience upon admission evaluation.

Applicants must submit a professional resume to demonstrate professional work experience in the desired area of study.

Official Academic Documents
Students must submit the following academic documents to be considered for admission to the MS degree programs:-
Two (2) set of copies of Official Transcripts of all previous post-secondary education are required. Academic documents must be either original or copies certified by the issuing academic institution. Academic documents must be marked with a seal, stamp or ink signature of an academic official of the institution. Photocopies, faxes, notarized copies or notarized certificates will not be accepted. All the documents should be legalized by the SEESCyT *

Two (2) set of copies of Official Graduate Certificates of all previous post-secondary education legalized by the SEESCyT **

Academic records in a language other than English must be officially translated by a professional translation service, or by the college/university issuing the academic documents

Students must submit a personal statement and resume as outlined in RIT's application for admission -

English Language Proficiency
All applicants to the MS degree program are required to meet the English language requirement for graduate study at RIT by completing one of the following:-
Submit an official score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of at least 550 paper based, or 213 computer based. For information on the TOEFL, write to: TOEFL, Educational Testing Service, Box 899, Princeton, NJ, 08540-0899, or online at www.ets.org .

Complete ACCUPLACER English language exam at PUCMM and follow PUCMM/RIT recommendation regarding additional English language prior to beginning graduate courses. Students whose native language is English, or who have studied at the college or university level in the US are not required to take the TOEFL or English language exam.

(2) International Students (non-Dominican residents)
Along with the previous requisites:

Complete Special PUCMM International Student Admission Form.

Submit a Certificate of good behavior from the country of last residence.
Observation:
If the applicant graduated from an international
university, the official transcripts and academic records must be legalized by
the Dominican consul in the host country of that institution. All
submitted documents must be accompanied by a
judicial translation to
the Spanish language.
(3) Application Deadline
Applications for admission and all supporting documents must be submitted by July 13th 2007.
