Globalization is transforming the world of work and broadening the managerial skills needed for success. CITAM will lead the Dominican Republic in the development of these skills among the country’s managers. CITAM will allow the two universities and their partners to expand management education opportunities across the Dominican Republic.
International high-tech educational HUB for Latin America and the CaribbeanCITAM intends to become a viable educational alternative for students from Latin American countries who want to pursue U.S accredited degrees but lack the possibility of obtaining the necessary U.S. student visa to study abroad. The Center will attract students from different countries by offering incentives to come to the Dominican Republic to obtain their degrees; these incentives include the reduced cost of living of the DR (compared to that of the U.S.) and discounted tuition costs offered through the Center compared to the full-time tuition rate for students enrolled on the RIT campus. Another incentive will be the time shortened version of the programs offered through the Center thanks to the incorporation of online-based courses that will compliment the on site classes.
